Objects, alum crystals, pigment

Installation views of my work “Home II”: a series of household objects transformed through a slow crystalization process. 
The project was shown in the group exhibition ‘The Nurturing Side’ held in May 2024 in Berlin and curated by Veronica Albio. The event was the first in the ‘Salotto’ format conceived by the curator as a series of apartment exhibitions.

“Nadia selects households objects and suspends them in time, stripping them of their domestic functionality. Instead, they remain as jewels evoking both beauty and irony. She is drawn to the purifying ans slow process of salt crystallization, which contrast with the frenetic pace of contemporary life. Her method is to initiate a crystallization process, allowing it to naturally progress over the objects until she intervenes to halt it. Nadia finds solace in long walk, in which she dedicates time and attention to nature and encountering objects that she picks up and uses in her work.”
