Kommst du mit?

Two hammocks, wood structure, pillows
1,50 x 5,7 x 0,5 m

„Kommst du mit?“ is a playful installation that melts social design with a touch of irony and non-functional construction.
On a handmade wood structure, two hammocks are connected by the same mobile rope, giving the users a sense of precarious balance.
If only one is used, the person will find himself on the ground. When the other hammock is occupied, then will be installed a balance that can only be a precarious one. Indeed, as soon one of the people decides to leave, the other one will lose its stability… only just until the next person comes and so the play goes on.
Even if people can have a personal experience enjoying the hammock in a separate space, are always somehow connected and responsible for the other’s experiences. Another big protagonist of the experience is the fall: the risk of falling, overturning and loss of balance. A sense of precariousness is deliberately searched with irony in one of the most classical relaxed displays.
